Obviously recovery has been the buzzword in fitness for years, but today’s runners are flipping the script: instead of obsessing over post-workout recovery options, they’re prioritizing sleep banking, carb loading, and nervous system downregulation before working out.
I'm looking for experts (must be a certified running coach, sports M.D., or Ph.D. with expertise in this area) to help explain what recent research says about pre-covery and how what happens in the hours—or even days—before exercise as critical to performance, injury prevention, and long-term health.
