For Quartz, I'm working on a story about the tough market for entry-level white-collar workers. Many people under 30, especially recent graduates, are piecing together retail, restaurant, and gig jobs (babysitting, Uber, etc) because they can’t land FT roles in their fields.
Hoping to speak with:
Recent grads or young workers now juggling multiple jobs, especially gig or part-time roles, who can describe what their day-to-day looks like, why they’re doing it, and how it affects their finances, career goals, and mental health. (U.S.-based; anonymity possible.)
Economists, academics, or labor experts who can contextualize the numbers: what’s driving this shift, and what it signals about wages, inflation, and entry-level opportunities.
Employers or managers noticing more young staff moonlighting/side-hustling, and how that’s affecting scheduling, retention, or productivity.
Thanks!

Seek H-1B and staff outsource experts for a story on talent outsourcing.
With the Trump admin's new $100,000 H-1B now in play, we're looking at the potential impact on the global employment/talent outsourcing, especially in the US. We suspect outsourcing into the US is about to accelerate and want to get in front of th issue for out business audience. we need these queries answered for the story, the sooner the better.
1. What do you make of the new US H-1B $100,000 buy in? What's the impact on US hiring and why?
2. What does the new H-1B rule mean for the outsourcing industry, especially for outsourcing talent into the US in a post $2,000-per-staffer H-1B world? Are we going to see an outsourcing boom now? If so, why? If not, why not?
3. Any tips for US companies looking to work with outsourcing companies? What are the best questions to ask and ground to cover, and why?
I’m writing a piece on the Trump administration’s proposed changes to the H-1B visa program, including the newly announced $100,000 fee. I’m looking to speak with current H-1B visa holders about what this program means to them. You can remain anonymous if you prefer! Please be based in the U.S.
I’m especially interested in hearing:
-What do you think of the proposed changes?
-How has the news about the $100,000 fee impacted your sense of stability or plans?
-Are you reconsidering any travel, work, or family decisions because of the confusion?
-What do you want people to understand about H-1B holders?
