I'd like registered dietitians, nutritionists, or MDs ONLY (will not consider anyone without these credentials as per publication's requirements) to chime in on the health benefits of pistachios. In the nut kingdom, where do pistachios stand? Here are some specific questions to get things going.
Can you speak to the most powerful/impressive nutritional component of pistachios? How do they stand out among other nuts? Are they particularly full of a certain nutrient?
What is the best way to consume pistachios to reap the health benefits? Please speak to the serving size you’d need as well as whether raw, roasted, in milk form milk, or as an ingredient in desserts, etc. they're equally beneficial.
What are the biggest health benefits of pistachios? If you could give me 3-4 bullet points there (heart health? cognitive health? weight loss?) and a brief explanation. I’d especially love to hear something that isn’t super well known, if such a thing exists.
Finally, how can people get more pistachios into their daily diet. Any/all ideas welcome!
