I am seeking quotes from auto insurance agents, lawyers, law enforcement/government personnel, and teachers.
From teachers, I'd like to know if you are able to comfortably afford your car insurance in your state.
From the other sources, I want to know if the legal ramifications for individuals who live in a high cost state but maintain out-of-state car registration to save money on auto insurance.
If anyone has experience moving to a state with expensive auto insurance rates and either maintaining their out-of-state registration in their former state or delaying registering their vehicle in their new state to avoid paying high auto insurance rates (especially in Florida, Nevada, California, etc) then I'd like to know your experience and why you hesitated to pay the higher auto insurance rates.
The article uses the example of teachers in Florida who maintain out-of-state registrations because their salaries don't cover the costs to make auto insurance affordable, so anything in this realm would be great if someone would like to give a quote about their experience either registering their car in another state for lower auto insurance rates or what the legal ramifications might be if it is discovered that someone is engaging in this practice.
