I'm looking for an RDN to answer the following questions:
-For readers new to the term, what are medium-chain triglycerides (MCTs), how do they differ from other fats, and what’s the recommended daily amount?
-What are the main health benefits and potential downsides of MCTs, and who might need to be cautious with them?
-What are the top 7–9 foods highest in MCTs, and how much MCT does each typically contain per standard serving?
- For each of those foods, what’s the healthiest way to incorporate them into your diet, and are there preparation or cooking tips to retain their benefits?
- If someone wants the benefits of MCTs without overdoing calories or saturated fat, what’s your top advice for balancing intake?
Thank you so much in advance!
