Physical therapists and personal trainers, what are the benefits of gaining muscle mass (i.e., what happens to your body when you gain muscle)? While you can discuss obvious benefits, such as increased strength, I'm also looking for less well known benefits too (e.g., metabolic health, mental benefits, etc.)
