Working on a feature for CSO Online about nervousness among enterprise cybersecurity managers about their job prospects, with many of them strongly considering leaving within a year. There might be what amounts to a career-ladder squeeze, in that they might not have places to progress toward in their current role, perhaps without additional leadership opportunities, or perhaps they don’t like being in the leadership role, given that the stress likely falls hard on them from above and below.
